Information you choose to share

Registration and inquiry forms collect your name, email, selected event or plan, participant count, and any notes you provide. Collaboration inquiries may include your organization and project interests. Demo Day submissions collect a project title, team display name, problem statement, project description, stage, and any video or portfolio links you choose to provide. Submissions stay private for team review until publication is separately approved. Active members can submit project questions and view replies.

Forms must be completed by an adult or a parent or guardian registering a younger learner. Please do not include children’s full names, dates of birth, medical details, confidential research, or other sensitive information in free-text fields.

How it is used

The STEAM Worlds team uses submitted details to manage event places, review inquiries, provide project support, and manage learning updates you request. Your requests are stored in the site database and available to the authorized site administrator.

Accounts, payments, and hosting

Member accounts use your name, email, a securely hashed password, email verification, and administrator approval. Necessary session cookies keep you signed in. Verification and password-reset messages are sent through our email delivery provider. We match registrations to your account only after email verification and approval. Administrator sign-in uses ChatGPT. Authentication, email delivery, and hosting services may process technical data under their own policies.

When online payments are enabled, Stripe processes payment details on its checkout pages. This website does not collect or store card numbers. It stores membership payment references and status to determine access to support.

Photos, videos, and external content

Published media is selected by the STEAM Worlds administrator. Opening an embedded YouTube or Vimeo video or visiting a payment link connects to that provider and may result in its collection of technical data. The homepage does not load third-party videos until you open them.

Security and retention

Administrative records are restricted to the site owner. A temporary hashed network identifier is used for form rate limiting. Other submitted records remain until the administrator removes them. No advertising analytics have been added to this site.

Your requests

To request a correction, deletion, or removal from updates, use the public contact email when listed on the homepage, or submit a collaboration inquiry stating your request. Avoid including sensitive details. Some payment records are managed separately by the payment provider.
